Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), formerly known as Victoria Terminus, is a historic railway station located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is known for its Victorian Gothic Revival architecture, which was designed by British architect Frederick William Stevens in 1887. The station was named after Queen Victoria and was completed in 1887.
It is one of the busiest railway stations in India and serves as a major transportation hub for Mumbai's suburban railway network. The station has over 18 platforms and serves both local and long-distance trains.
In 2004, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai. The station is also the headquarters of the Central Railway and has several offices, commercial establishments, and food outlets within its premises.
